A new project on the farm
Christian and Julie have been dreaming of having an orchard for 20 years. However, several people told them that they were not in a good area and that the soil was not suitable. In 2017, Christian asked specialists to analyze the soil and study the land. There was hope, but they were told it would not be an easy task..
In the spring of 2018, we started soil preparation. We met a nurseryman and an agronomist specialized in apple trees to guide us in this great adventure! The dream came true in the spring of 2019: we planted an orchard of 270 semi-dwarf apple trees spread over one hectare. In 2024, the planting is completed: there are now over 900 apple trees ready for your to pick. The orchard is composed of several varieties allowing a harvest during the months of September and October. Here are the varieties that will be ready for harvest in autumn 2025 (due to the youth of our orchard, the quantities available are limited) :
Our varieties
The Lobo is a variety that can produce large fruits. It is excellent for eating fresh and delicious in pies, as it tends to retain its shape even when cooked. Ideal for making compotes and tarts.

French variety offering large yellow fruits with a pink cheek when exposed to the sun. Aromatic and very firm.

The Honeycrisp is a variety highly sought after by consumers, as it is exceptionally crunchy and juicy. It gets its name from the fine honey flavor that characterizes it. Its flesh is a beautiful cream color and is not very sensitive to oxidation. The fruits are usually of large size. It is the ideal knife apple, to be eaten in wedges on all occasions.

A remarkable strain of McIntosh discovered in Massachusetts. Except for its intense red coloration, it is identical to the classic McIntosh. What more can be said except that at the beginning of the season, it is the most beautiful McIntosh available.

The Royal Court™ is a lineage of Cortland originating from the discovery of a mutant in Nova Scotia. The fruit resembles Cortland in every way, except that its color is much more intense. The size is large. The flesh is white, crispy, and more tart than the Cortland. The storage quality would be as good as that of the Cortland. Truly an improvement!

The Sunrise is an attractive, high-caliber fruit. The color is 50% washed pink or red with red striped spots on a yellow background. The flesh is white to cream, juicy, firm, and crunchy. The flavor is mild, sweet, and slightly acidic. The fruits are ripe by the end of August. Its shelf life is very short.

October is a pretty apple, which visually resembles the McIntosh to the point of being misleading, but its fruity taste is richer and sweeter.

The Belle d’août is the crunchiest of the summer apples, in addition to being fruity and delicious in taste. It is ready at the end of August.

Very large caliber on its own roots – conical – good texture, – crunchy and juicy – “explodes in the mouth” – good level of sugar – aroma of melon/watermelon.

Its name very well describes what makes the Ginger Gold different from other varieties; it is yellow in color and has a spicy taste. It is ideal for making salads since its flesh turns brown very slowly when exposed to air.
