Our blueberry fields have more than 12,500 blueberry plants spread over 14 acres.

We have several varieties of giant blueberries :

Our varieties

Clusters of delectable light-blue fruits make Bluecrop easy to pick. This northern highbush variety is among the first blueberries to ripen, yet the flowers are not susceptible to frost damage.   

Fun facts: This plant does not technically need a partner to produce fruit. However, it is recommended to cross-pollinate with other varieties to increase fruit production. 

Good for: Jams and jellies

The Duke has a large fruit with a firm, crisp texture. The light-blue fruit has a tangy, sweet, delicate flavour.  

Fun facts: This blueberry bush is an attractive plant with white, pink-tinged flowers in the spring, and large, vibrant yellow and orange foliage in the fall. This bush can grow up to six feet tall at maturity.

Good for: Jams and jellies, baking, sauces

The berries have a sweet taste and a juicy texture. They are small to medium in size and dark blue.

Fun facts: The flowers are white and they bloom in May.  You will love the bright red leaves in the fall. This variety of blueberry is self-fertile.

Good for: Jams and jellies, baking, cooking

This highbush blueberry produces amazing crops of sweet dark blue fruit in early summer. The taste is reminiscent of wild blueberries.

Fun facts: The Northland blueberry is the hardiest and best looking of the half-high highbush blueberries. In fact, it is often used as a decorative plant.

Good for: Jams and jellies, baking, cooking

This hardy variety produces a large, dark blue fruit that has a tangy to sweet taste. 

Fun facts: In addition to its fruit, the shrub also offers attractive flowers, dark green foliage, and a brilliant fall colour to make it both a practical and ornamental choice. 

Good for: Jams and jellies, baking, cooking, perfect for freezing

Fruits are medium to large and the flesh is firm and juicy. The taste is sweet but subtle.

Fun facts: The Reka blooms in late spring with clusters of white, fluted, sweetly fragrant flowers. In the fall, the dark green, ovate foliage of the Reka flushes to a vivid red.

The Spartan blueberry is very hardy and gives large fruits that are blue grey.

Fun facts: This bush features delicate clusters of white bell-shaped flowers, which emerge mid-spring from distinctive red buds. The glossy oval leaves turn a fiery orange in the fall.  

Good for: Fresh, jams and jellies, baking

The blueberries grow in clusters, which makes them easy to pick. The fruit is large, juicy, and sweet, never tart.  

Fun facts: Spring will bring white buds and pink flowers. In the fall, stunning red foliage truly makes these bushes stand out as they add a pop of colour to your landscape. 

Good for: Fresh, baking, sauces

This blend of blueberry varieties ensures good pollination as well as beautiful and large sweet blueberries.
Do not hesitate to taste them while you pick blueberries!

Picking your blueberries

We invite you to pick your own blueberries in our grassy fields. For your well-being, we put at your disposal a small bench so that you can pick your blueberries without tiring yourself.

You do not need to bring containers for picking, we have cardboard or reusable baskets for sale at the kiosk.

Given the size of our blueberry fields, we offer the possibility of driving you to the fields by cart. In the fields, you will find shaded picnic areas, to eat or rest a little. Drinking water is also available on the site and for those who prefer bottled water, you will find water for sale at our kiosk. A dry toilet is also at your disposal.

For those who love blueberries, but do not want to pick them, you will always find freshly picked blueberries, in different sizes at our kiosk;

At our kiosk, you will also find processed blueberry products, regional products and frozen treats for the pleasure of your taste buds.

We have a playground for children with swings, slides and inflatable games and there is a mini-farm on the site!

Did you know that blueberry has a high antioxidant content? Blueberries are full of antioxidants, their high antioxidant content helps prevent cardiovascular disease, cancer and aging-related problems.

Blueberry is the most powerful antioxidant among the range of fruits and vegetables available on the market. Its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties have the potential to prevent Alzheimer’s disease, cancer and heart disease. Anthocyanins, active ingredients in the blueberry plant, would improve night vision and help reduce the effects of aging, such as short-term memory reduction. Blueberries treat inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat. Lastly, blueberry leaves, mostly consumed as herbal tea, are known to lower blood glucose levels and for their beneficial effect in the treatment of diabetes.

Vitamin C

Blueberries are a source of vitamin C. A 125 ml serving meets more than 8% of vitamin C requirements in humans. The role that vitamin C plays in the body goes beyond its antioxidant properties. It contributes to healthy bones, teeth and gums, helps iron absorption and protects against infections.

Potassium

Potassium is the most important mineral of blueberry. In the body, it serves to balance the pH of the blood and stimulate the production of hydrochloric acid by the stomach, thus promoting digestion. In addition, it facilitates the contraction of muscles, including those of the heart.
